I am a panelist on a Google Hangout for web accessibility

Among everything that I am doing, I have been asked to be a panelist in a Google hangout, with video! This means I will have to get an army of gay guys over so that they can make me look all-pretty!

It will be live on Air for Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 15 at 11 a.m. (EST). The hangout will feature a panel of various advocates, developers, leaders in the world of accessibility discussing Social Media & Emerging Technology Accessibility.

The Hangout will consist of people from all walks of places, including The Autistic Self Advocacy Network, the U.S.A. Government Services Administration (G.S.A), David Timer, creator of TalkingFlix, and someone from ePolicyWorks.

The topic will be about web accessibility, including web accessibility on social media, during the discussion, the aim is to talk about where the needs are and how we can fill those needs by addressing existing sites/services or when to create a new/unique service. We won’t necessarily be talking about the HOW of making a site/service accessible.

They will be asking for people to submit questions prior to the event using their social media accounts. feel free to ask any weird followers to submit questions via email or on Twitter using the hashtag #DanyaTHIS.

Note: They will be using two event hashtags – #DanyaTHIS and #GAAD. Since #GAAD will be so widely used on that day, they want to ensure the hangout logistics team can catch all of the questions/comments directed at our event, so they will be using the #DanyaTHIS as a filter to make sure they can engage with the audience during the live event.

I hope to see you all there, and yes, I will be fully shaven with a glint in my eye unrelated to a sugar rush from all the candy that I eat!

This is a publicly open event so share the link above far and wide!
